The group was founded in 1969/70 when some Danish artists from
the island Funen started common exhibitions under the name of RIIMFAXE.

The first RIIMFAXE exhibition took place at a gallery in Svendborg, Funen.

During the following years RIIMFAXE exhibited in Svendborg Amts Kunstforening, SAK,

From 1973 RIIMFAXE had regular exhibitions at the Art Exhibition Building in Odense, the main city of Funen.

Through the years many artists have been member of RIIMFAXE or have participated as guest artists at the exhibitions. In the mid-seventies the first foreign artists joined the group. Since then RIIMFAXE has been an international group with a number of
members from several European countries.

RIIMFAXE creates more exhibitions every year – always in Denmark and often in other European countries. So the artistic context is international. The artistic dialog is made out of the artwork. An emphasis on this aspect has been visualizes through a number of important concept or theme exhibitions during the years.

RIIMFAXE is a modern association of artists working individually with painting, sculpture, graphic, photography and assemblage.

RIIMFAXE manifests itself through the artistic fellowship our work expresses.
