Each of my pictures has it’s own story, to which the various layers are
just as important as the final brush stroke. You could compare it to a
person’s face, which has a story too. Sometimes a whole life can be read in it. That is what gives some people personality. My paintings are similar; something grows, layer by layer, which has a broad, rich narrative quality.
